*Coaraze – the beautiful village in Alpes Maritimes is the sixth part from South of France itinerary 12 days in Provence and the French Riviera
Is Coaraze village worth visiting?
Classified is another hidden gem in Southern France and one of the most beautiful villages of France (Le Plus Beaux Villages de France), but carelessly managed in my opinion, the medieval village of Coaraze is located in the hills north of Nice, in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the south-east France.
Due to its excellent location and the large number of sunny days each year, the village is also called Village du Soleil or Village of the Sun.

What to see in Corazе?
Feel the spirit of Provence and discover the village by walking along the winding stone streets, some of which are narrow enough for two people to pass. Look up at the little terraces, strewn with flowers and the windows with lace curtains.
Visit the church of Coaraze. It is called Saint-Jean-Baptiste and is located in the centеr of the village. Near the church are the sundials.
Famous artists such as Jean Cocteau, Georges Duquin, Mona Christie, Gilbert Valentine, Ponce de Leon, Henri Goetz dedicated their works to the village, including six sundials that decorate the facade of the town hall and the wall of the church square.
Explore the symbol of Coaraze. You can find it placed on most houses and buildings depicted on a ceramic tile. Visit the botanical garden. Enjoy the view.
